Welcome to Ballymaloe Garden Festival

A weekend for garden lovers, seasoned experts, late bloomers and foodies alike. The Ballymaloe Garden Festival on the grounds at Ballymaloe House welcomes experts for an extensive programme of classes in everything from growing a wildlife friendly garden, what to grow to attract bees and butterflies, growing organic fruit and veg, designing your garden from scratch - see the 2016 schedule here. All scheduled talks will take place in the Ballymaloe Book Shop and Fringe Events and Stalls will be in the Ballymaloe Walled Garden, Ballymaloe Grainstore and Drinks Theatre. There will be live Country music in the Drinks Theatre bar from Gerrie Deane and The Country Collective and birds of prey displays and other outdoor demonstrations.

Get involved yourself and enter your own garden produce, baking and creativity in the Harvest Show on Sunday 4th in the Carrigaun Room.

On the grounds of Ballymaloe House there will be stalls selling plants, garden accessories, seed swapping, local food heroes and more. And the Fringe Festival in the Ballymaloe Walled Garden will host a wide range of activities including hands on Crafts workshops and demonstrations, Strawberry GinJam tasting, beginners guide to growing edible flowers, basket making, how to make a bug hotel and more. Second hand garden books will be sold to raise funds for St Vincent de Paul and enjoy a walk through the gardens at Ballymaloe House during the weekend too.
